Lighted Tact Switch: What is a Tact Switch?
As one of the common electronic switches, the touch switch is widely used in household appliances and electronic equipment because of its small size and light weight. So the lighted tact switch: what is a tact switch?
Lighted Tact Switch: What is a Tact Switch?
1. A touch switch is a switch that controls a circuit through a touch sensor. It's simple and amazing to operate. Flick the switch button to turn it on, release it to turn it off. The switch has the advantages of small contact resistance, accurate operating force error, and diversified specifications. It is widely used in audio-visual products, digital products, communication products, household appliances, security products, toys, computer products, fitness equipment, medical equipment, etc.
2. The touch switch is the fourth-generation switch product developed with the development of electronic technology. With the improvement of the technical level, the volume and installation size of the touch switch are gradually reduced. There are small touch switches and chip touch switches abroad. There are three types of touch switch structures: vertical type, horizontal type and horizontal type with grounding terminal. Now there are two types of combination and potentiometer type touch switch combination, which are used to meet the requirements of various electronic products.
3. The material used in the touch switch will affect the service life and performance of the switch. At present, there are three main lead materials: silver-nickel alloy, silver-cadmium alloy, and sterling silver. Silver-nickel alloy is an ideal material with relatively good electrical conductivity and hardness, and is not easy to oxidize and rust. At present, the materials of the shrapnel are divided into phosphor bronze shrapnel and stainless steel shrapnel. At present, many manufacturers choose phosphor bronze shrapnel in order to save costs. Stainless steel shrapnel touch switch, better feel and longer service life.
Tact switch with light: what is the principle of tact switch?
According to the principle of touch switch, it is divided into two types. One is to use metal shrapnel to switch the on-off state of the switch. This kind of touch switch feels very good, and when the button is pressed to a certain extent, it will be accompanied by a clicking sound. The other is to use conductive rubber to switch the on-off state of the switch. This switch feels good, but the contact resistance is about 10,000 times that of the previous one.
The structure of the touch switch can be divided into five parts: cover plate, button, shrapnel, base, and pins. The button refers to the place where external force is applied; the shrapnel is the key component of the touch switch, and the on-off of the switch is caused by the stress change of the shrapnel. . Pins refer to the connection between the touch switch and the circuit. Generally, five pins are paired, and one pin is grounded. When the switch is properly stressed, the four pins are connected to make the circuit conduct, but when the switch is not pressed by the correct external force, the four pins are not connected in pairs, making the circuit disconnected.
When we press the button of the touch switch, the elastic member of the touch switch deforms under the action of the elastic force, and touches the pad downwards, so that the two sets of pins of the switch are turned on, so that the circuit is in a conductive state; when we remove the external force , the elastic sheet deforms and returns to its original state, leaving the welding sheet, the two sets of pins of the switch are no longer connected, so that the circuit is in a cut-off state.
